KAILH was founded in 1990 to design and manufacture electronic switches.
kailh has successfully penetrated the market with our unique performance as soon as we launched the first mechanical keyboard switch in 2009 and the world's first dust and waterproof BOX switchin 2015.
BOX SWITCH
Kailh BOX switches are marked by the plastic box surrounding their standard cross-shaped stems; this box is purported to help keep dirt and moisture out of the inner workings of the switch, but it’s also helpful for ensuring stability.
The KAILH BOX switches are renowned for their superb sealing design, and the Ice Cream Series is no exception. The BOX structure effectively prevents dust and water ingress, extending the keyboard's lifespan and maintaining stable performance in various environments. This feature is especially beneficial for users who need to use their keyboards in diverse settings, such as gamers and professional office workers.
CHOC SWITCH
Under the guidance of enthusiasm and responsibility, in 2017, kailh developed a variety of ultra-thin keyboard switches,CHOC switchessuccessfully listed, loved by game laptops.
These switches are designed to take up less vertical space while still offering a pleasant and precise typing experience, As for their name, it’s pretty easy to see the comparison to a delicious little square of chocolate;
Kailh Choc switches are a popular example of low-profile switches, The Lofree × Kailh ALL-POM low-profile mechanical keyboard switch is a perfect blend of innovative design and advanced materials. It offers a smooth, durable, and portable solution for those looking to enhance their typing or gaming experience. The hot-swap feature further adds to its versatility, making it a top choice for keyboard enthusiasts and professionals alike.
MX SWITCH
KAILH is known for its innovative approach to switch design. The MX switches often feature unique variations that go beyond the standard Cherry MX clone designs. This includes custom actuation points, different spring weights, and innovative stem designs, allowing users to find the perfect switch for their needs.
Platycodon Grandiflorum Switch

KAILH MX switches have been enhanced with a dust-proof stem design, a traditional large buckle upper cover with a surrounding wall for increased stability, a light guide lens slot for uniform and soft backlighting, and a conical stem central column for a crisper, more pleasant bottom-out sound and precise tactile feedback. These improvements result in a smoother, more reliable typing experience, greater durability, better illumination, and enhanced operational feedback, making them an excellent choice for both typists and gamers.
Hall Effect switch
Hall Effect switches do not have any metal contacts and instead operate via a strong magnet embedded in the stem of the switch. When the stem is pressed in, the magnet is pushed closer to the PCB until it begins “pushing” electrons in circuits within the PCB with some amount of force. In the opposite way, as the stem is released, the magnet moves away and doesn’t “push” on the electrons nearly as hard. This “pushing” of the current of electrons via the magnetic field from the magnet is quite literally known as the ‘Hall Effect’ and is what Hall Effect PCBs are designed to look out for.
